Redmi Note 14 Pro+ Might Lower Main Camera to 50MP, Keep 2MP Macro
Xiaomi is working on its new Redmi Note series, which includes the Note 14, Note 14 Pro, and Note 14 Pro+. These models have been listed on IMEI and recently appeared on China’s Radio Certification, confirming their development.
Xiaomi has revealed some details about the Redmi Note 14 Pro+.The new phone will have a triple camera system on the back. The main camera will be 50MP, which is a downgrade from the previous model, the Note 13 Pro+, which had a 200MP main camera. However, Xiaomi may improve the image quality with a better sensor.
The Redmi Note 14 Pro+ is expected to have three cameras on the back. Besides the new 50MP main camera, it will likely keep the same 8MP ultrawide camera and 2MP macro camera as previous models. The tipster also mentioned that Xiaomi had originally planned to add a telephoto lens but decided against it.
Recent reports also suggest that the Note 14 Pro+ might come with a curved-edge OLED screen with a 1.5K resolution. It is expected to have a plastic frame and an optical fingerprint sensor built into the screen for security.
The Redmi Note 14 Pro+ is expected to use a Dimensity chipset, built with TSMC’s advanced 4nm technology and featuring a 3GHz main processor. While it hasn’t been officially confirmed, this chip might be the MediaTek Dimensity 7350, which will also power the upcoming Nothing Phone (2a) Plus launching on July 31 in India.
The Redmi Note 13 series was launched in China in September, so the Note 14 series might have a similar release schedule. However, nothing is confirmed yet.
