Xiaomi is reportedly working on a new tri-fold smartphone, joining other companies like Huawei and Samsung in developing this type of device. According to a tipster on Weibo, Xiaomi’s tri-fold phone would have three separate sections that unfold to create a large display, similar in size to a tablet. When folded, the phone would look like a regular smartphone but be thicker because of the three screens inside.
The phone might be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025, which is scheduled for February next year. This would be Xiaomi’s latest addition to its foldable phone lineup, following the launch of their first flip-style phone, the Xiaomi Mix Flip, on July 19.
