Apple’s AI-Powered Siri May Launch Sooner Than Expected
Apple recently introduced a new and more powerful version of Siri with the iPhone 16 series, but it won’t be available right away. Many Apple fans were disappointed because they had hoped the upgraded AI-powered Siri would launch alongside the new iPhones.
Initially, users were informed that the new Siri would be released in March 2025, coinciding with the arrival of iOS 18.4. However, according to the latest news from Mark Gurman, it seems that the AI assistant might be available earlier than expected. The rollout is now anticipated to occur with the iOS 18.3 update, which is scheduled for January 2025.
Apple has already released the beta version of iOS 18.1, which includes some exciting new features powered by AI. These features include AI-generated summaries for unread messages, a writing tool in the Notes app, and an additional option in the Control Center. The stable version of iOS 18.1 is expected to be available in October 2024, followed by iOS 18.2 in December 2024.
Some of the most exciting AI features were showcased during Apple’s WWDC 2024 and the iPhone 16 series launch event. These features are expected to be ready for the market in the first quarter of 2025, with the introduction of the Siri AI assistant in iOS 18.4. While there will be more features in future updates, the new Siri is likely the most highly anticipated feature among Apple fans.
It’s still unclear if Apple will release the updates earlier than planned. However, there is a small chance that Apple might surprise users by introducing AI features sooner than they announced. For now, all we can do is wait for the upcoming updates to see what happens.
