Pakistan’s PM Shehbaz announces sending 1,000 students to China for training: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced that the Pakistani government would send 1,000 students to Yangling Agricultural Demonstration Base in China for advanced training in agriculture. He stated that the government would cover their expenses and instructed the Pakistani Ambassador in China and other officials to finalize the arrangement with Chinese authorities.
Additionally, Prime Minister Shehbaz expressed interest in inviting the North West Agriculture and Forestry University to establish a campus in Pakistan, promising full government support for this initiative. He directed the Pakistani Ambassador and relevant officials to work out the details of this plan.
During his visit to the Yangling Agricultural Demonstration Base, Prime Minister Shehbaz toured various sections and the Pakistani Pavilion, which showcased Pakistani agricultural products. He was accompanied by several federal ministers.
In a briefing, it was highlighted that 26 countries were involved in agricultural research at the base, with Pakistan being the pioneer in this cooperation. The prime minister was briefed on the participation of Pakistani scientists and universities in research activities.
Prime Minister Shehbaz emphasized the importance of agricultural innovation for increasing crop yields per acre in Pakistan. He stressed the government’s focus on enhancing agricultural exports and processing of agricultural products to boost the country’s economy.
Furthermore, during the visit, the prime minister observed practical agricultural mechanisms at the latest plant production factory. This experience provided insights into modern agricultural practices that could be adopted in Pakistan to improve productivity and efficiency in the agricultural sector.
