The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) recently shared details about how much money the national cricket team players make each month.

According to what’s been said in the media, players in Category A get Rs4.5 million every month, while those in Category B get Rs3 million. The PCB recently decided to pay the players more, which means everyone’s salaries went up.

Players in Category A saw their pay go up by 202%, while those in Category B got a raise of 144%. Even players in categories C and D got more money, with increases of 135% and 127% respectively.

The PCB decides which category each player falls into based on how well they play. They announced these new contracts in September last year.

Top players like Babar Azam, Shaheen Afridi, and Muhammad Rizwan are in category A, and they get Rs 4.5 million each month. Players like Shadab Khan, Fakhar Zaman, Haris Rauf, and Naseem Shah are in category B, and they make up to Rs 3 million every month.

For players in categories C and D, they get paid between Rs750,000 to Rs1.5 million per month. Imad Wasim is in category C, while Iftikhar Ahmed, Hasan Ali, and Saim Ayub are in category D.

It’s important to mention that apart from their monthly salary, players also get fixed fees for playing matches and awards for their performance in all three types of cricket matches. These extra payments add up to how much the players earn overall.
