On Sunday, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi instructed to speed up the process of issuing passports to overseas Pakistanis. He made this announcement while visiting Passport and NADRA centers in London.
Mohsin Naqvi stated that regular passports should be issued within a maximum of 30 days. Additionally, he emphasized that urgent passports should be processed within seven days. This new policy will be implemented in all Pakistani missions located outside the country.
The minister noticed that there have been delays in issuing passports to overseas Pakistanis. Currently, regular passports were taking around four months to be issued, while urgent passports were taking about one and a half months.
This directive aims to address the concerns of overseas Pakistanis who often face difficulties in obtaining passports within a reasonable timeframe. By reducing the processing time for both regular and urgent passports, the government aims to provide better services to its citizens living abroad.
