Islamabad Traffic Police Collects Over Rs. 48 Million in Fines
From January 1 to September 13, 2024, the Islamabad Traffic Police has been working hard to enforce traffic rules. During this time, they issued a total of 577,836 traffic tickets, which resulted in over Rs 48 million in fines for various traffic violations.
In addition to these tickets, the police filed 951 FIRs (First Information Reports) for more serious traffic offenses, showing their dedication to handling major traffic issues.
In Rawalpindi, a special traffic enforcement campaign took place from August 25 to September 12. This campaign aimed to improve road safety and enforce traffic laws more strictly. During this period, Rawalpindi Traffic Police issued 3,803 tickets and collected over Rs 4.1 million in fines. They also registered 35 FIRs against people committing serious traffic violations.
These efforts in both Islamabad and Rawalpindi reflect a strong push towards better traffic management and road safety. The aim of these initiatives is to ensure that all drivers follow traffic regulations, which should help reduce accidents and make the roads safer for everyone.
