Plane Skids Off Indonesia Runway
In Jayapura, Indonesia, a plane carrying 48 people skidded off the runway in Papua on Monday, injuring several passengers. The aircraft, an ATR-42 operated by Trigana Air, was on its way from Yapen Islands to Jayapura when the incident occurred.
The region where the accident took place is known for its challenging flying conditions due to mountainous terrain and often poor weather. The flight included 42 passengers and six crew members, including a baby. Fortunately, everyone survived and was taken to a hospital for checkups.
