Chief Minister of Sindh instructs to prevent power cuts in the evening and night during Muharram

Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has instructed K-Electric, Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (HESCO), and Sukkur Electric Power Company (SEPCO) to avoid power cuts in the evening and at night from the first to the 12th of Muharram.

He gave these directions during a meeting with religious scholars at the CM House. Provincial ministers, Chief Secretary, and IG Police were also present.

In collaboration with religious scholars, the CM directed the police to ensure security for Majalis and Muharram processions throughout Sindh. Additionally, he instructed the water board to repair the city’s drainage system and ensure water supply to Imam Bargahs and Majalis.

The CM urged provincial authorities to assist Majalis organizers in renewing their permits.

Shah also instructed the Solid Waste Management Board to enhance cleanliness on roads and streets ahead of the Muharram processions. He assigned Provincial Minister Saeed Ghani to visit Imam Bargahs and mosques to address any potential issues.
