WhatsApp Tests New Event Duration Feature for Community Group Chats on Android
WhatsApp Tests Event Duration Feature for Community Group Chats on Android WhatsApp is enhancing its Communities feature with a new event duration option, currently being tested for Android users. Initially introduced in May, the Events feature allows users to schedule activities within Communities. Starting in June, WhatsApp began rolling out this feature to beta testers and has since expanded to include the ability to specify event durations.
According to WABetaInfo, the new event duration feature is available in WhatsApp for Android’s beta version 2.24.17.11. This upgrade enables users to create events with precise start and end times, include a location, and add a link for WhatsApp calls.
The addition of event durations will benefit Community groups managing multiple events, providing more structure and organization. While the public release date is not yet confirmed, Android users eager to try this feature can join the WhatsApp beta program for early access.
