WhatsApp has unveiled a new feature for Status updates for Mac users, enabling them to share status updates directly from their computers. This addition follows a recent rollout of a similar feature for Android devices, allowing WhatsApp users to share various content types, including images, videos, GIFs, text, and voice messages as status updates across linked devices.
The latest WhatsApp beta for Mac, version 24.11.73, accessible through the TestFlight app, enables beta testers to post status updates directly from the status tab on their Mac computers. With this update, Mac users gain the ability to share text or photo updates with their contacts, mirroring the functionality available on their smartphones. Previously limited to viewing status updates, Mac users can now actively contribute to the platform’s status feature.
This enhancement offers users the convenience of managing their status updates directly from their desktops, catering to those who frequently utilize computers for communication.
