WhatsApp May Soon Introduce Custom Chat Filters Recently, we learned that WhatsApp is developing a new feature allowing users to categorize chats into custom lists. Now, it’s been revealed that WhatsApp is also working on enabling users to filter their chats using these custom lists.
This update was shared by WABetaInfo, which provided screenshots showing how the filtering system will work. Custom list labels will be added next to the existing labels like “All,” “Unread,” and “Groups” in the app. Users will be able to select a custom list to view only the chats associated with that list.
Currently, this feature is found in the beta version of WhatsApp for Android (version 2.24.18.16). While it is still in development and not yet available to beta testers, it is expected to be rolled out to all beta users in the coming weeks before a wider public release.
