WhatsApp is planning to make some changes to how voice calls work in the Android version of the app.
One major change in the new update is that when someone calls you, your picture will appear on the whole screen. This means that when your phone rings, instead of just seeing a small picture of the caller, their picture will take up the entire screen.
In addition to this change, there are some other new features as well:
1. At the top of the screen during a call, there will be icons that allow users to do two things:
– Minimize the call window: This means you can make the call window smaller and move it around on your screen while you do other things on your phone.
– Add participants: This allows you to add more people to the call from your contact list, turning it into a group voice chat.
2. At the bottom of the screen, there will be an additional item called “parameters” added to the panel. This means that there will be some new settings or options available during the call that users can adjust or customize.
Overall, these changes aim to improve the user experience during voice calls on WhatsApp for Android users.
At the moment, these new features are only accessible to people who are beta testers. To access them, users need to download the client from Google Play, and the build number should be 2.24.12.14.
However, in the next few days, it’s expected that the update will be available to everyone, not just beta testers.
These changes are currently only affecting the Android version of WhatsApp. It’s not yet clear if they will also be available for iOS users.
Some other new features of WhatsApp include:
– The ability to create profile photos using AI (Artificial Intelligence).
– Resetting the unread message counter.
– Hiding group chats.
Additionally, the layout of the Meta app for both Android and iOS has recently been updated.
