The CMF Watch Pro was one of the inaugural products from Nothing’s budget sub-brand. Now, CMF is launching its first phone, accompanied by a new watch and earbuds. A noticeable difference with the CMF Watch Pro 2 is its round shape, unlike its predecessor’s rectangular design. This design change makes it feel like a distinct model rather than a direct sequel. The review unit we have features a dark gray bezel and a blue leather strap. The bezel is raised and rounded, providing extra screen protection against impacts.

A key aspect of the Watch Pro 2 is its embrace of modularity. The bezel is replaceable, offering options in both rounded and flat designs with various color choices. The watch body is made from aluminum alloy, and the wrist straps are standard 22mm, allowing for easy replacement. CMF offers both leather and silicone strap options.

There are several notable upgrades in the new model. The crown can now be rotated to navigate the UI, unlike the simple push button on the original watch. The screen is now round, measuring 1.32 inches compared to the previous 1.96-inch rectangular display. Despite being smaller, it has a higher resolution of 466 x 466 pixels and a sharper 353 ppi. It is also slightly brighter and now includes an auto-brightness mode. The CMF team has created over 100 watch faces for customization, along with the ability to choose which widgets appear on the home screen.

However, the battery capacity of the CMF Watch Pro 2 is slightly reduced to 305mAh from the previous 340mAh. This results in a battery life of up to 11 days, two days less than the original Watch Pro. The watch still includes essential health and fitness tracking features like heart rate and SpO2 sensors, as well as built-in GPS for outdoor activities. It has an IP68 rating, making it rain-resistant but not suitable for swimming. The new model also includes additional sports modes, warm-up exercises, interval training, and an updated sleep detection algorithm.

Bluetooth connectivity allows users to take calls on the watch and store up to 30 contacts for dialing. Although it requires proximity to your phone due to the lack of GSM connectivity, this feature is quite useful.

Despite the enhancements, the CMF Watch Pro 2 remains affordable, priced at $70/€70/£70/₹5,000, compared to $50/€50/£50/₹3,500 for the original model (which is still available). We’re excited to test this new model and will provide a detailed review soon.
