On July 16, Deepal began accepting reservations for its upgraded Deepal S07 SUV, which is an enhanced version of the Deepal S7 model. Customers who place a 520 yuan (71 USD) deposit will receive a complimentary insulation film valued at 2,399 yuan (331 USD). The new vehicle is scheduled for launch by the end of July and will be available in both EV and EREV (Extended Range Electric Vehicle) variants. The price range for the Deepal S7 model is currently between 149,900 and 217,900 yuan (approximately 20,700 to 30,000 USD).
Deepal’s current product lineup includes the Deepal SL03, S7, and G318 models. The S07 will offer seven exterior paint options: black, white, grey, orange, yellow, green, and blue. A notable feature of the Deepal S07 is the Huawei Qiankun ADS SE version, which utilizes a vision-based solution to enable intelligent assisted driving on highways and urban expressways. This includes functionalities such as lane change assist, obstacle avoidance, and advanced parking assistance for vertical, parallel, and diagonal parking spaces.
Visually, the Deepal S07 retains the angular front design with a closed structure featuring interactive lights composed of 696 LED units for animations and driving status indications. The rear design incorporates through-type taillights, and the D-pillar includes a charging status display. The car also features hidden door handles and frameless electric suction doors, contributing to a low drag coefficient of 0.258Cd. It rides on 255/45R20 tires and measures 4750 mm in length, 1930 mm in width, 1625 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2900 mm.
The EREV variant of the Deepal S07 utilizes a 1.5L engine (JL473QJ) as a range extender, producing a maximum power of 70 kW (94 hp). This is paired with a 175 kW (235 hp) electric motor and a 39.05 kWh battery pack from CATL, offering electric ranges of 215 km and 285 km respectively, and a combined range of 1,200 km. The EV variant is equipped with a 160 kW electric motor and supports fast charging, allowing the battery to be charged from 30% to 80% in just 15 minutes.
Inside, the S07 offers interior color options of green, black, and orange. Features include a hidden air-conditioning outlet, a double-spoke D-shaped multi-function steering wheel, a floating 15.6-inch central control screen with Deepal OS powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip, an AR-HUD, and a 12.3-inch co-pilot screen.
