Punjab Prepares for New Round of Monsoon Rain Starting Today

Lahore expected to experience temperatures ranging between 28 degrees Celsius to 35 degrees Celsius

Punjab Prepares for New Round of Monsoon Rain Starting Today Monsoon rains have arrived in Punjab, bringing relief from the intense heat and humidity with expected afternoon and nighttime showers over the coming days.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted substantial rain for Lahore, which should ease the oppressive heat and humidity. Rainfall is anticipated to continue intermittently for the next three to four days, reducing both heat and humidity levels.

In anticipation of the heavy rains, the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has issued an alert. Recent downpours have already caused water to accumulate on streets, disrupting traffic and posing challenges for residents. Following these late-night showers, local officials, including those from the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA), have been working diligently to manage water drainage.

During this period, Lahore is expected to see temperatures ranging from a low of 28°C to a high of 35°C.
