Punjab Launches Advanced IT Courses for Thousands of Youngsters

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif spearheaded the launch of a skills development program on Monday, aimed at empowering youngsters with advanced IT courses. The program targets training in areas such as cloud computing, cybersecurity, data analytics, graphic design, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and game development to bolster their employability.

During a digital inauguration ceremony held at the Government Technology College for Women, Maryam Nawaz inaugurated the CM’s Skills Development Programme among students. Emphasizing its significance, she stated, “Under the project, 4,000 youth will be trained in 35 TEVTA institutes in different cities.”

The Punjab government’s initiative intends to provide high-quality training in advanced IT courses to 4,000 students annually, with plans for gradual expansion. The ultimate goal is to extend this opportunity to a total of 40,000 students each year.

Asserting the fundamental right of youth to free training in advanced courses, CM Maryam highlighted its historical neglect. She assured that upon course completion, students will receive certifications from esteemed international organizations such as Microsoft, Adobe, Cisco, and Unity.
