A group of senior journalists recently met with Provincial Information Minister Azma Bukhari to talk about the Maskan Ravi housing project. During the meeting, Bukhari promised that 3,200 free plots, each 5 marlas in size, would be given to journalists and media workers.

Priority will be given to those working in Lahore. The free plots will be provided at no cost to full-time media workers.

The minister mentioned that the project had been delayed because of a court order, but efforts are being made to resolve the issue and move the free plots project forward.

For those who missed the first application deadline, the free plots project will be advertised again, giving them another chance to apply. To qualify, applicants must have at least ten years of experience in the media industry.

Both the journalists and the minister agreed to keep discussing the free plots project to make sure it meets the needs of the media community and to address any problems.
