PTA and FIA Joint Action Against Illegal Mobile Phone SIM Seller in Hasilpur In Lahore, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) Zonal Office collaborated with the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Cyber Crime Circle to conduct a raid on a telecom franchise situated at Raja Chowk, Hasilpur.

The franchise was suspected of engaging in the illegal issuance of SIM cards.

During the operation, authorities seized 3 laptops, 1 CPU, 2 Telenor Easypaisa devices, and 34 active SIM cards. Additionally, they discovered 55,000 digital fingerprint images and 368 QR codes linked to Telenor Easypaisa accounts stored on the confiscated laptops. Three individuals, one of whom was an employee of Telenor Easypaisa, were apprehended and are currently being investigated by the FIA.
