Pakistan Navy has effectively conducted a test of the FN-6 surface-to-air missile
Pakistan Navy successfully fired FN-6 surface-to-air missiles using its ground-based air defense system. Vice Admiral Raja Rabnawaz, who leads the naval forces in the coastal areas, attended the event as the main guest, according to a statement from Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).
During the live firing exercise, Pakistan Navy’s ground-based air defense system effectively targeted and destroyed airborne threats. This demonstrates the system’s capability to detect and neutralize aerial targets to ensure national security.
The presence of Vice Admiral Raja Rabnawaz underscores the importance placed on military readiness and the Navy’s ability to defend against potential threats. This exercise highlights Pakistan Navy’s ongoing efforts to enhance its defense capabilities and safeguard the country’s airspace.
In addition to protecting Pakistan’s maritime borders, the Navy plays a crucial role in regional security. This includes deploying warships like PNS ASLAT in the Indian Ocean to ensure safe passage for merchant ships, contributing to stability in the region.
Commander Coast Vice Admiral Raja Rabnawaz expressed complete satisfaction with Pakistan Navy’s Ground Based Air Defense System after the successful missile firing. He confidently stated that Pakistan Navy is fully prepared to handle any threats from adversaries.
In addition to protecting Pakistan’s sea borders, the Navy contributes to regional security. For instance, in May, it deployed warship PNS ASLAT in the Indian Ocean to safeguard merchant ships. This shows Pakistan Navy’s commitment to maintaining peace and stability beyond its own waters.
