Pak UN mission YouTube channel hacked

The Permanent Mission of Pakistan to the UN faced a serious cybersecurity breach when cyber attackers targeted and compromised its official email IDs used by the information wing, along with taking control of its official YouTube channel.

Following the hack, the YouTube channel’s name, banners, and content were altered. The breach occurred at 4 PM US time on Friday, affecting both the email accounts and the YouTube channel of the Information Wing.

In response, the Permanent Mission of Pakistan to the United Nations has advised disregarding any emails and videos until the email accounts and YouTube channel are fully recovered.
