OGRA Announces Small Rise in LPG Prices for July
The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has raised the price of local liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) by Rs. 0.12 per kilogram, leading to a Rs. 1.43 increase in the cost of 11.8 kg domestic cylinders for July 2024.
According to a notice released on Monday, OGRA set the retail price of LPG at Rs. 234.71 per kg for July, up from Rs. 234.59 in June. The price for consumers of the 11.8 kg domestic cylinder has been set at Rs. 2,769.66 for July 2024, compared to Rs. 2,768.23 in June.
OGRA explained in a brief statement that the producer price of LPG is influenced by Saudi Aramco-CP and the US Dollar exchange rate. Although Saudi Aramco-CP remained unchanged from the previous month, the average dollar exchange rate increased by 0.06 percent, resulting in a rise in the consumer price of LPG.
