Nicolas Cage Voices Concern Over Artificial Intelligence: ‘I’m Truly Afraid of It’
Nicolas Cage shares what he thinks about Artificial Intelligence in Hollywood
Nicolas Cage recently opened up about his apprehension regarding artificial intelligence in the entertainment industry.
During a recent interview, the actor candidly expressed his concerns about A.I. after his publicist reminded him about an upcoming scan scheduled for a television series and a movie he’s working on.
“I have to head out soon for a scan related to the Spider-Man Noir series and the movie project afterward. Two scans in one day!” Cage shared with The New Yorker.
He humorously referenced the scans for his upcoming Spider-Man Noir role, joking about digitalizing his appearance for the project. “They’ll have to put me in a computer, match my eye color, change—I don’t know,” he quipped.
“But they’re just going to take my body and do whatever they want with it using digital A.I… Oh God, I hope not A.I. I’m terrified of that. I’ve been quite vocal about it,” Cage admitted.
He continued, expressing deeper concerns about the future of artistic integrity: “It makes me wonder where the essence of an artist will end up. Will it be replaced or transformed? Where will the soul reside? What will happen to my body and face when I’m gone? I don’t want anyone doing anything with it!”
