Motorola Edge 50 Launches with Snapdragon 7 Gen 1, IP68 Rating, and MIL-810H Durability Motorola has announced the latest addition to its Edge series, the Edge 50, in India. This new smartphone features a sleek design with impressive specifications. The Edge 50 sports a 6.7-inch curved pOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, all protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. It also houses a 32MP front-facing camera for high-quality selfies.
Under the hood, the Edge 50 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 Accelerated Edition (featuring a 2.5 GHz Cortex-A710 core), complemented by 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The rear camera setup includes a 50MP main sensor with Sony’s LYT-700C, a 10MP telephoto lens offering 3x optical zoom, and a 13MP ultrawide lens for versatile photography.
The device packs a 5,000 mAh battery, supporting 68W wired charging and 15W wireless charging. Notably, it is the slimmest IP68 and MIL-810H certified phone on the market at just 7.79mm thick, having passed over 30 rigorous tests for extreme temperatures, moisture, dust, and drops.
The Edge 50 runs on Android 14 with Motorola’s Hello UI and is committed to receiving two years of Android updates and three years of security patches.
Available in Jungle Green, Peach Fuzz, and Koala Grey, the Motorola Edge 50 is priced at INR 27,999 ($334) for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. It will be available for purchase starting August 8 through Flipkart and select offline retailers.
