Karachi Stock Exchange Fire: Trading Delayed, All Traders Safely Rescued
A fire broke out at the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) building in Karachi on Monday, delaying trading activity. Local media reported that all traders were safely rescued and the fire has been brought under control, according to rescue officials.
Sindh Rescue 1122 spokesperson Hassaan Khan confirmed that there have been no reported casualties and that the cooling process is currently ongoing. The fire originated on the fourth floor of the building.
Upon receiving the emergency call, two fire brigade trucks from Sindh Rescue 1122 were dispatched to the scene. Eventually, a total of six fire brigades and one snorkel were deployed to extinguish the fire.
