LPG blast in Hyderabad, The number of people who died in the explosion at a liquid petroleum gas cylinder filling shop in Hyderabad’s Preetabad area has increased to 16. This happened on Tuesday when two more people who were injured in the blast passed away, as reported by ARY News.
The blast occurred at a shop where LPG cylinders are filled, situated on the ground floor of Zacha Bacha Hospital area along Mir Nabi Bux Town Road in UC-8 of Neerunkot town.
The death toll reached 16 after two injured individuals couldn’t survive their burn injuries and died at Karachi’s Civil Hospital. They were identified as Umair, aged 15, and Abbas, aged 14.
Currently, there are seven injured individuals receiving treatment at Karachi Civil Hospital, with seven of them in critical condition.
This tragic incident resulted in loss of lives and injuries to many, and it’s crucial for authorities to investigate the cause of the blast to prevent similar incidents in the future.
Around 60 people, mainly children, suffered severe burn injuries and needed urgent medical care. They were initially treated at Liaquat University Hospital (LUH) and later transferred to Karachi for further treatment.
Among these injured individuals, 18 to 22 had very severe burns covering 80% to 90% of their bodies. They were referred to a larger hospital in Karachi that could provide specialized care for such critical cases.
This means that a significant number of people, especially children, were badly hurt in the incident and required immediate medical attention. Since their injuries were severe, they had to be moved to a bigger hospital in Karachi where they could receive more advanced treatment and care. This highlights the seriousness of the situation and the need for prompt medical intervention to save lives and minimize suffering.
