Suspect linked to journalist Nasrullah,s murder case apprehended: Police arrest Asghar, a suspect in the case of journalist Nasrullah’s murder. Asghar was apprehended by the police in the Mirpur Mathelo police station area. During the arrest, the police found a pistol and a motorcycle believed to be used in the crime. They are now searching for another suspect named Barkat, who is thought to have been involved with Asghar.
Additionally, Abdullah, identified as the third person involved, assisted Asghar in the murder. The SSP assured that both Abdullah and Barkat will be captured soon. This incident follows the recent death of journalist Nasrullah Gadani, who passed away from injuries sustained in a gun attack a few days ago at a hospital in Karachi.
Nasrullah Gadani was shot and seriously injured by unknown attackers near Mirpur Mathelo, Ghotki district, on Tuesday. He was on his way from home to the Mirpur Mathelo Press Club when gunmen in a car fired at him on Jarwar Road near Deen Shah and fled.
Gadani suffered gunshot wounds and was taken to Mirpur Mathelo DHQ hospital for treatment. Later, he was transferred to Sheikh Zayed Medical College Hospital in Rahim Yar Khan for surgery. On Wednesday, he was moved to Aga Khan Hospital in Karachi. Unfortunately, he passed away on Friday morning.
Gadani, a journalist for a Sindhi newspaper who also shared his reports on social media, was known for his bold reporting against local feudal lords, political figures, landlords, and government officials.
The journalist community has mourned the loss of Nasrullah Gadani, expressing sadness and condolences.
