John Cena has said he will stop wrestling professionally after the 2025 season

John Cena announced on Saturday night that he will retire from professional wrestling next year after being in the ring for two decades.

He made the announcement to disappointed fans at a WWE event in Toronto. Cena promised to go on a farewell tour with many shows and have a big final match. He also said he will stay involved with WWE, where he started his career.

“Thank you for letting me be part of this place for so many years,” Cena told the crowd.

Later, in a news conference, Cena said he feels his wrestling career is coming to an end physically, but he still loves the sport.

Cena is a 16-time WWE champion known for his ‘Doctor of Thuganomics’ persona from the early 2000s. He also became famous for his roles in movies.

Cena starred in movies like Blockers and The Suicide Squad. He also showed up in several Fast & Furious movies. Recently, he was in the comedy thriller Argylle and the popular movie Barbie.
