India started their T20 World Cup journey with an eight-wicket win against Ireland

India’s group of four fast bowlers, with Hardik Pandya in charge, performed exceptionally well on a challenging pitch. They bowled out Ireland’s team for a low score of 96 runs.

India won against Ireland by eight wickets in their first Group A match of the T20 World Cup on Wednesday.

Captain Rohit Sharma scored the most runs with 52 runs off 37 balls before he got injured and had to leave the game temporarily. Wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant also contributed with 36 not out runs from 26 balls. With their help, India easily reached the target of 97 runs set by Ireland with 46 balls remaining in the match.

Before, India’s four fast bowlers, led by Hardik Pandya, played very well on a challenging pitch and got all of Ireland’s batsmen out for 96 runs.

Pandya took 3 wickets for 27 runs, leading India’s bowling attack. He got good support from Arshdeep Singh, who took 2 wickets for 35 runs, and Jasprit Bumrah, who took 2 wickets for 6 runs. India’s captain Rohit chose to bowl first at the start of the tournament match.

Ireland scored 96 runs and lost all their wickets in 16 overs. Hardik Pandya took 3 wickets for 27 runs, Arshdeep Singh took 2 wickets for 35 runs, and Jasprit Bumrah took 2 wickets for 6 runs.

India scored 97 runs with 2 wickets lost in 12.2 overs. Captain Rohit Sharma scored 52 runs but had to leave the game due to an injury, and Rishabh Pant scored 36 runs without losing his wicket.
