CDWP has finalized development projects totaling Rs. 900 billion.

The Central Development Working Party (CDWP), chaired by Deputy Chairman Planning Commission Mohammad Jehanzeb Khan on Thursday, approved 26 development projects totaling Rs. 900 billion. Among these, 17 projects amounting to Rs. 33 billion received direct approval from the CDWP forum, while 9 projects worth Rs. 867 billion were recommended to the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) for further consideration.

The meeting, attended by Secretary Planning Awais Manzur Sumra, Additional Secretary Planning, Members of the Planning Commission, JCE (Ops), JCE (Ep), along with Federal Secretaries and representatives from Federal Ministries and Provincial Governments, focused on projects spanning Energy, Governance, Health, Higher Education, Information Technology, Agriculture & Food Security, Industries & Commerce, Mass Media, Physical Planning & Housing, Transport & Communication, and Water Resources sectors.

The Rupee Finishes Fiscal Year 2023-24 With Modest Improvements Against The US Dollar.
