New leak reveals details about the improved camera in Samsung S25 Ultra
New leak reveals details about the improved camera in Samsung S25 Ultra: Yesterday, we learned that only the Galaxy S25 Ultra will get better cameras next year. The regular S25 and S25+ won’t have these upgrades. Today, more details about the changes to the S25 Ultra’s camera system were revealed on X.
It’s rumored that the S25 Ultra will use a new Samsung sensor called ISOCELL JN1. This sensor is a bit smaller than the one in the S24 Ultra but still has 50 megapixels.
Moving forward, the 3x telephoto camera is said to come with a new Samsung ISOCELL sensor that’s slightly larger than the one in the Galaxy S24 Ultra. It also has 50 megapixels, matching the ultrawide camera of the S25 Ultra.
Samsung is reportedly working on new software to enhance photo and video quality. However, details are scarce because it’s still early in development, according to the source.
The main camera sensor might be the same size as the one in the S24 Ultra, and it could even be identical. The S25 family is expected to be introduced in January 2025, so we’ll likely hear more about them as that date approaches.
