2024 could be a significant year for the Apple Watch, if recent rumors hold true. Speculation has long hinted at Apple commemorating the 10th anniversary of its watch with a special Apple Watch X model. However, uncertainty remains whether this major upgrade will debut in 2024 or 2025. While the definitive answer remains elusive, newly leaked CAD renders from 91Mobiles suggest the imminent arrival of the Apple Watch Series 10, featuring its largest display yet.

According to sources within the industry, these CAD renders provide a glimpse of what’s to come, though their accuracy remains speculative. If accurate, the Apple Watch Series 10 is set to boast a larger display than any previous model, including the Apple Watch Ultra. Where the Apple Watch Series 9 offers a 1.7-inch screen and the Ultra features a 1.93-inch display, the Series 10 is making a leap to a spacious 2-inch screen.

With a larger screen comes increased dimensions, positioning the new model between the Series 9 and the Ultra, measuring 46 x 39.7 x 11.6mm. Despite these enhancements, the Series 10 retains the familiar design elements of standard Apple Watch models, featuring the digital crown, side button, and square display.

The pivotal question remains whether this iteration marks the debut of the Apple Watch X or merely a modest update. If reports of a significant anniversary edition with revolutionary changes are accurate, this iteration does not appear to fit that bill. Rumors had suggested the Watch X would introduce innovations like a microLED display and a revamped magnetic band attachment system, though these features are absent in the renders.

It is plausible that the Series 10 represents a slightly larger variant of the Apple Watch line, while the Apple Watch X might be a future release or a product of ongoing speculation. As Apple typically unveils new Watch models around September, more concrete details are likely forthcoming soon.
