Google is diligently working on the upcoming Android 15 release, and numerous OEMs have already begun their own beta programs. OnePlus is among them. Today, OnePlus announced the immediate availability of Android 15 Beta 2 for the OnePlus 12 and OnePlus Open.
Instructions for installation can be found at the source linked below. The company notes that this version is “best suited for developers and other advanced users” and advises against its use if “you have little to no experience in software development or if you plan to use the device as a daily driver.” Proceed with caution.
The new build offers several improvements over the first beta, including enhanced overall system stability and performance. It also addresses issues with split-screen functionality, Bluetooth compatibility, personal hotspot, the camera, and some third-party apps.
However, there are still numerous known issues for both phones, detailed at the source linked below. This highlights that this build is not intended for general use. Nevertheless, it’s encouraging to see OnePlus actively working on Android 15, raising hopes that the final release will follow shortly after Google officially launches it later this year.
