Samsung Galaxy Ring Faces Major Repair Challenges Due to Design Issues
If you’re a fan of the Samsung Galaxy Ring, you should be aware of its repair difficulties.
The Samsung Galaxy Ring is reported to be very hard to fix if it gets damaged or if its battery fails. A recent report highlights that the design of the ring makes repairs challenging because opening it up might make it unusable.
According to iFixit, the main problem is the lithium-ion battery inside the ring. This battery can handle up to 400 charge cycles, but once it wears out, fixing the ring is almost impossible without causing significant damage.
A CT scan showed that the ring is coated with epoxy resin, and the battery and circuit board are sealed inside. The circuit board connects to the battery with a press connector, not a soldered one. This makes accessing the circuit board tricky, as trying to do so could damage the battery.
If these issues are correct, the Galaxy Ring could become unusable if the battery fails or if the circuit board is damaged.
