A plane heading to India had to make an emergency landing at Karachi airport
An Oman Airlines flight heading to India made an emergency landing at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport on Thursday because a passenger’s health got worse during the flight.
A flight from Muscat to Kerala had to make an emergency landing at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport on Thursday because a passenger had a heart attack and their health got worse. The pilot asked for permission to land at Karachi, and after getting approval, the plane landed safely. A medical team took the passenger to a hospital in Karachi.
Earlier, a different plane carrying Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and his team also made an emergency landing at Karachi airport. This plane was on its way to Ankara, Turkiye, but it was running low on fuel.
The captain contacted Karachi Air Traffic Control to request an emergency landing and refueling. The request was approved, and the plane landed at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport at 4:55 pm.
