Authorities reported on Friday that a young individual died on Thursday night after being swept away by a flash flood in a park in Wolfville, Nova Scotia.
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) received a report at 7:30 p.m. that the youth had been pulled into a flooded ditch. Approximately an hour later, the province’s Emergency Management Office issued alerts regarding flash floods in the area, according to a regional emergency management coordinator.
