Asus Vivobook S 15 OLED Copilot+ with Snapdragon X Elite Chip Launched in India
Asus launched the Vivobook S 15 OLED in India on Tuesday as their first Copilot+ PC for the country. This new version of the S 15 OLED, already part of Asus’ laptop lineup, is the company’s debut device with Microsoft’s Copilot+ PC certification. It runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X Elite chipset and supports artificial intelligence (AI) features coming to Windows 11 in a future update. This follows the global launch of the Asus Vivobook S15 Copilot+ PC in June.
The Asus Vivobook S 15 OLED (S5507) starts at Rs. 1,24,990 in India. It comes in Cool Silver color and offers a configuration with 16GB RAM and 1TB SSD storage.
Asus says the Vivobook S 15 OLED is available for purchase through Flipkart, Asus e-shop, Asus exclusive stores, and Pegasus stores.
The Asus Vivobook S 15 OLED (2024, Copilot+) runs on Windows 11 Home and includes Microsoft Office Home & Student 2021. It has a 15-inch 3K OLED display with a resolution of 2880 x 1620 pixels, offering a high 120Hz refresh rate and up to 600 nits brightness. The laptop features a 1080p webcam with a privacy shutter and infrared (IR) for Windows Hello facial recognition.
Inside, the Asus Vivobook S 15 OLED is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite chipset with a Qualcomm AI Engine, Adreno GPU, and a Qualcomm Hexagon neural processing unit (NPU). It comes with 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a 1TB NVMe SSD for storage.
The laptop’s design includes an aluminum lid and a backlit chiclet keyboard with numeric keys and RGB lighting in one zone. As an AI PC, it has a special Copilot key. It also boasts Harman Kardon-tuned speakers and a microphone array built-in.
The Asus Vivobook S 15 OLED has a 3-cell 70Whr Li-ion battery that charges with a 90W AC adapter included in the package. It supports Bluetooth 5.4 and Wi-Fi 7 for connectivity. The laptop features two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, two USB 4.0 Type-C ports, an HDMI 2.1 port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It also includes a dedicated microSD card reader. The laptop’s dimensions are 352.6x227x15.9mm and it weighs 1.42kg.
