Extensive Hands-On Preview of the Redmi 13 5G Before Official Announcement
The Redmi 13 5G is set to launch on July 9, but MySmartPrice has already shared an early hands-on preview of the phone, confirming its specifications. The Redmi 13 5G features Gorilla Glass 3 on the front and strengthened glass on the rear, with a plastic frame in the middle. It will be available in three colors: Orchid Pink, Hawaiian Blue, and Black Diamond.
The phone boasts a 6.79-inch FHD+ 120Hz display. It houses a 5,030mAh battery with 33W charging support, and the charger is reportedly included in the box. According to MySmartPrice, the phone can achieve 50% charge in just 30 minutes, and a full charge takes 1 hour and 13 minutes. The Redmi 13 5G will be powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 AE (Accelerated Edition), which is a slight upgrade over the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 used in the Redmi 12 5G. It comes with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM and offers a single storage option of 128GB with UFS 2.2 storage.
The Redmi 13 5G will be the first Redmi device to ship with HyperOS out of the box. Xiaomi is expected to promise two years of Android updates and four years of security updates. Additionally, Redmi claims a 36-month lag-free experience with the Redmi 13 5G.
In terms of cameras, the Redmi 13 5G will feature a Samsung HM6 108MP main camera with 3x in-sensor zoom and a 2MP macro camera. For selfies, it will have a 13MP front camera.
