CDA Plans to Set Up 3 Large One-Stop Centers in Islamabad
Residents of Islamabad will soon benefit from streamlined access to a variety of services all in one place, as the Capital Development Authority (CDA) plans to set up three large one-stop centers across the city.
The initiative aims to simplify the process of accessing essential services for Islamabad’s residents.
According to CDA officials, these large one-stop centers will be located in G-11, G-7, and Kahuta. Each center will have twelve counters dedicated to various CDA services, along with an additional twelve counters for services provided by NADRA, police, FBR, passport services, and other relevant agencies.
These centers are part of the Islamabad Digitalization Plan, which seeks to improve the efficiency and accessibility of public services through digital integration.
The first center will be established at the G-7 CDA Facilitation Center, with ongoing work to upgrade existing facilities. This center will serve as a model for the subsequent centers in G-11 and Kahuta.
Once operational, the large one-stop centers will enable citizens to obtain identity cards, licenses, and passports. They will also facilitate payments for property taxes, vehicle registrations, pension collections, as well as electricity, gas, and internet bills. Residents can also lodge complaints and register FIRs at these centers, ensuring comprehensive support for various citizen needs.
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has instructed the CDA to expedite the establishment of these large one-stop centers, underscoring their role in enhancing public service delivery in Islamabad. The centers are expected to reduce bureaucratic delays significantly and improve overall service efficiency in the capital.
