The Overseas Employment Corporation, a part of the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, is planning to send about 100 female nurses to work for a healthcare company in Malaysia. This decision comes as Malaysia has a growing demand for skilled nursing staff.

An official from the OEC announced this plan on Thursday, stating that Pakistani nurses already working in Malaysia have been doing a great job, which has led to an increased demand for more nurses from Pakistan. The OEC is now accepting applications for these new positions.

To be eligible for these jobs, applicants must have either a nursing diploma or a Bachelor of Science in nursing from a recognized institution. They also need to be registered with the Nursing Council and have at least three years of experience working in a hospital. Preference will be given to those with specialized training in areas like operating theaters, intensive care units, or pediatrics. Applicants must be under 45 years old to apply.

The monthly salary for these nursing jobs ranges from RM3,000 to RM4,500. Additionally, the health firm will provide various allowances. Specialized nurses will receive RM1,100, general nurses RM700, nurses with a degree RM400, and those with post-basic training RM800.

The official also mentioned that the confirmed employees’ salaries will be reviewed every March based on their performance and market standards. Any salary increase will be applied from January onwards. Moreover, employees will get a one-month bonus for each year of service after completing a two-year contract.

Applicants need to submit a bank challan of Rs1000/- when applying online. The deadline for applications is June 5. This initiative is a big step in creating more job opportunities for Pakistani nurses abroad and helping to meet the healthcare needs in Malaysia.
