On Friday, gold prices in Pakistan dropped for the fourth day straight. The cost of 24-karat gold decreased by Rs1,800 to reach Rs240,200 per tola.
Dealers also reported a drop in the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold, down by Rs1,543 to Rs205,933. The price of 10 grams of 22-karat gold fell to Rs188,772.
These changes are influenced by shifts in the US Dollar’s value, showing how closely gold prices are linked to currency values. This highlights how global economic factors affect local gold markets.
However, the price of 24-karat silver remained steady at Rs2,800. Internationally, gold prices also saw a significant decline of $17, reaching $2,338 per ounce.
