The Samsung Galaxy A16 5G has appeared on Geekbench, showing that it uses the Dimensity 6300 processor
Samsung launched the Galaxy A15 5G last December, and now they are testing its successor, the Galaxy A16 5G. The Galaxy A16 5G was recently seen in Geekbench’s online database with the model number SM-A166P.
The new Galaxy A16 5G uses the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor, which is an upgrade from the Dimensity 6100+ used in the galaxy A15 5G. The prototype tested had 6GB of RAM, but there might be other memory options available as well.
The Galaxy A16 5G runs on Android 14, and that’s the main detail revealed from its benchmark test. Previous UK certifications show that Samsung is also working on a 4G version of the galaxy A16. So, like with the A15, there will be two versions of the galaxy A16 5G , each with different connectivity options. The A16 4G will likely use a different processor, as the A15 4G has the Helio G99.
We don’t have the full specs for the galaxy A16 5G yet, but for comparison, the A15 5G has a 6.5-inch 1080×2340 AMOLED screen with a 90 Hz refresh rate, options for 128GB or 256GB of storage, 4GB, 6GB, or 8GB of RAM, a 50 MP main camera, a 5 MP ultrawide camera, a 2 MP macro camera, a 13 MP selfie camera, and a 5,000 mAh battery with 25W wired charging. We hope the A16 will improve on some of these features.
