Pakistan Launches 477 Km White Oil Pipeline Project
Pakistan is set to begin construction on the White Oil Pipeline Project, a significant step to enhance the country’s oil distribution system. This project has strong support from the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), which is crucial for improving Pakistan’s energy infrastructure.
The project is being led by major companies, including Pakistan State Oil (PSO), Pak-Arab Refinery Limited (PARCO), and Inter-State Gas Systems. The construction will be managed by the Frontier Works Organisation (FWO).
The pipeline will stretch 477 kilometers, connecting key locations like Machike, Thalian, and Taru Jabba. This new pipeline is expected to make transporting oil much more efficient. One of its main goals is to reduce transportation costs, which will benefit both consumers and businesses.
Initially, the pipeline will be able to move 7 million tonnes of oil each year, with plans to increase this capacity to 10 million tonnes in the future. This means that as the demand for oil grows, the pipeline can handle more shipments, ensuring that the country’s energy needs are met effectively.
Overall, the White Oil Pipeline Project is a vital investment in Pakistan’s energy sector, aiming to create a more reliable and cost-effective oil distribution network.
