The Khyber Mail train, coming from Peshawar, almost had an accident in Karachi.
According to reports, the Khyber Mail train narrowly avoided an accident near Kala Pul in Karachi. The incident happened when a truck carrying sand and gravel became stuck near the railway tracks.
The train’s driver quickly applied the emergency brakes, stopping the train just in time to prevent a major collision. However, as efforts were made to free the truck, it slightly bumped into the stationary train, causing minor damage to the engine.
After about an hour, the truck was successfully separated from the train’s engine. The prompt actions of the train’s crew and subsequent efforts prevented what could have been a serious accident.
The railway police issued a warning to the truck driver and subsequently released him. They stressed the importance of caution and adherence to safety protocols to prevent similar incidents in the future.
The swift reaction from the train driver and the coordinated efforts by authorities ensured the safety of all passengers and minimized disruptions to the train’s schedule.
