To utilize this service, users need an Android smartphone running version 8.0 or later, with Bluetooth and Nearby devices permissions enabled to facilitate sharing your ID with requesting entities. Privacy controls allow users to select which information to share.
It’s important to note that government-issued IDs do not sync with your Google account and will need to be re-added if you change devices. Verification involves a short selfie video sent to the DMV, with confirmation sent via email.
