All iPhone 16 Models Feature 8GB of RAM
Apple has traditionally kept details about iPhone RAM specifications under wraps, often requiring teardowns to confirm the exact amounts. However, this time we have more clarity. According to a new report from MacRumors in collaboration with iSWUpdates, all four iPhone 16 models, announced yesterday, are equipped with 8GB of RAM.
This means that the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max maintain the same RAM capacity as their predecessors, while the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus feature an upgrade with 2GB more RAM compared to the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus.
This increase in RAM likely explains why the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will not support the new Apple Intelligence features, which will be available on the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus when they launch in October.
The iPhone 16 series will be available for pre-order on Friday, September 13, and will officially go on sale on Friday, September 20.
