Karachi, Pakistan Stock Exchange Rebounds, Gains 207 Points after two days of losses. The KSE-100 index, which measures the performance of the top 100 companies listed on the PSX, gained 207 points, which is a positive change of 0.29 percent. It closed at 72,797.43 points, compared to the previous day’s close of 72,589.49 points.

The KSE 100 index went up as the budget for the fiscal year 2024-25, estimated to be over Rs18 trillion, is set to be revealed today.

During the trading session, the KSE 100 index went down, reaching its highest point at 73,169.00 points and the lowest at 72,464.24 points. It finally settled at 72,797.43 points.

A total of 433 companies’ shares were traded throughout the day. Out of these, the prices of shares for 231 companies went up, while for 129 companies they went down, and for 73 companies, they remained the same.

In total, more than 293,083,473 shares were traded, with a total trading value of Rs 10.541 billion.

Today, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government will introduce its first budget aimed at growth for the fiscal year 2024-25, which is estimated to be over Rs18 trillion.

Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, who is the Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, will talk about the budget in the National Assembly.

The government says they want the budget to help people by making their lives better. They want to improve farming, support information technology, and sell more things to other countries.

They also say they will manage money well, collect more taxes, and spend less on things that are not so important. They want to make more jobs and make policies that help people have better lives.

Everyone is working hard to make sure the budget announcement happens on time and according to the plan. They are coordinating closely among all the different government departments and ministries involved in budget-related activities, like presenting the budget in Parliament and releasing the Economic Survey.
